Hi, I’m Alex.

I’m a 26 year old illustrator based in Richmond, Virginia, and am the owner and operator of Alex Lentz Illustration, LLC. I focus on portraiture, editorial illustration, and fantasy illustration.

I illustrate to bring stability and clarity to the more elusive elements of the human experience. The human experience is chaotic, subtle, and profound. My creative practice works to decipher and distill this instability into images that provide a groundwork for the viewer to investigate their own interests and life experiences in a more discerning and artful way. Art has taught me how to reflect on and analyze my own life, personhood, and choices from a different perspective, and I aim to bring this perspective to those that interact with my work.
